Time Out Market, Cais do Sodré, Lisbon, March 2020
The old Mercado da Ribeira was converted into the Time Out Market in 2014. It was the idea of the team at Time Out Portugal, who brought new life to the market with the best restaurants and market stalls of Lisbon. It is a great setting, and the perfect spot to grab a snack, have a quick drink, or sit down for something more filling.
The idea worked so well that Time Out has repeated the idea in a number of other cities – Boston, Chicago, Miami, Montreal, New York – with Dubai, London and Prague in preparation.

I changed a lot indeed! I remember it a dark grotto 20 years ago, when I was living there

I don’t remember it from visits back then, but I can imagine.

Must admit when i went a few years ago I was disappointed by the stalls . . loved the concept but some of the fish and fruit and veg looked tired compared to the Algarve. Think I am spoilt down there!
Loving your photos though, they are wonderful

Unfortunately I don’t think that scenes like this will be the norm for a while, Debs. Are you home again?

Sadly it has now closed down for a while, along with most places in Europe, but these markets are worth putting on the to-do list if you are near one.
