St George, battling and triumphant

St George Triumphant, 1 New Change, London, February 2017

St George Combatant, 1 New Change, London, February 2017

These two St Georges now stand on the roof of One New Change in the City of London. They are the work of British sculptor, Charles Wheeler (1892-1974).

They initially stood, together with their guardian lions, on the portico of the previous One New Change, a part of the Bank of England, that was demolished in 2007.
