I hopped over to Paris and sailed down south to Provence, falling in love with a floating bookshop and relaxing in the beautiful countryside. Then it was a drive down to Marseille and along the coast to Sanary-Sur-Mer, back to a part of France where I spent a month or two back in my student days.

And how did I manage to escape lockdown?
I read a book!

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Great post. I am currently with Barack Obama on the campaign trail in 2008. Whew! That is a busy time and an eye opener. I shall look for your Paris book as a bit of relaxation,

I’ve been tempted to read that too. But I’m more in a relaxation frame of mind at the moment.

Can’t beat a good book! I’ve read many in this time of Covid.

Very clever, Debbie. I’ve been singing in the mountains of Switzerland with Julie Andrews this week, reading her book Home Work. I’ve also been to a village on ice: https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/01/23/new-lake-monona-ice-fishing-village/

When it comes to reading, I’m more sort of a time traveller …
But currently I don’t like to sit still: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/01/23/its-just-too-cold-to-chill/

I’m not good at sitting at the moment either. And I listened to this book while out walking. It really brightened my regular walk into town.

I cherish my smartphone and ear piece to go with it. I usually listen to some kind of book or podcast even in the supermarket (especially in the supermaret!! — I used to find it quite funny to listen to couples going shopping together but it’s getting repetitive).

And I’ve just found a hoard of free listens! Audible.com have many free during lockdown, aimed at children, but there are classics there that I’ve never read. And also a choice of languages.

Our library’s open for click and collect, so I’ve just ordered your suggestion. And while yoy go down memory lane, I have a short quiz to pass the time: https://margaret21.com/2021/01/23/question-sun-getting-up-or-sunset/

I very much enjoyed your quiz, Margaret. Glad your library is operating. Though click and collect isn’t as good as browsing the shelves. I have added my local bookshop to my regular walk – I spot something new every time I peer at their window display.

Ours is sort of open. You can’t browse, but you can order, pay and go and stand on the step to collect. Off there this morning – when I’ve de-iced the car.

Wow! And how well organised, Jo. I’d have to count mine and I know I don’t have that many fingers and toes. Have a great weekend, my dear
