Canine paparazzi outside the Royal Exchange, London, March 2021

These celebrity-tracking canines were poised with cameras outside the Royal Exchange, just waiting for me to arrive. These pap dogs, Charles, William, Harry and Tom, have been touring the world since 2013 and are currently enjoying their spell in London.
They are the work of Gillie and Marc, a husband and wife team of Sydney-based contemporary artists, who paint, photograph and sculpt. You’ve probably already seen some of their work, as there are pieces in many cities. There are quite a few that I know in London, and I’ll share some more with you soon.
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Really clever art, well photographed, captures that paparazzi feel! This weekend my focus is street art as well. https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/03/27/2-surprises-on-my-walk-yesterday/

Love your photographers…just like my dogs…I am teaching them…but they are somewhat unwilling.

You should at least train them to carry the tripod! 🙂

Good thinking! Maybe that would be possible…they like sticks.

What fun! I’ve never heard of them or their creators, so thanks for the introduction. Here’s my link, which I thought was going live at 12:05am our time but I evidently still had it on pm. Sigh. Better late than never might apply here. Happy Saturday.

Yes, they chose the dogs to point at pack mentality

I seem to think that I’ve seen a photo of one of them previously but didn’t realise there was a “pack” of them. I kept my six words simple:

Yes, this pack has been travelling around together, but there are other individuals around, and often a dog and rabbit together.

I can’t help thinking they should be called a pack of puparazzi.

Absolutely fabulous!
I have four animal sculptures in my photo as well – completely different. I actually don’t know what they are supposed to be doing. Possibly attacking a passing car or something: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/03/27/the-best-form-of-defense-attack/

And I enjoyed your smaller but more ferocious sculptures

How cool are these! Are they lurking near Liverpool Street? Anyway, here’s mine: https://suejudd.com/2021/03/27/a-sign-of-spring-from-thursday/

No, they are outside the Royal Exchange.
They arrived in December I think, so they’ve had a quiet time sitting there throughout lockdown.

Hard to look at these without a smile. I think the artists have fun producing their work.
Though they do a lot of serious things projects too, supporting the environment and other issues

They are clever at producing sculptures to make us all smile. And it’s great when things like this go on tour and we all get a chance to see them.
