Love the way the hill falls in line with the walls Debbie. A dramatic sky helps as well 🙂 🙂

It’s an amazing setting. I want to get back for longer and see it from more angles in more weathers!

Did you know?
Bram Stoker visited Whitby for a week and the setting inspired him. And he used names from the nearby graveyard for characters.

It’s quite a time since I read Bram Stoker’s novel. But “Whitby” rang a bell and the abbey would look just perfect in moonlight.

Yes, I’d like to see it in moonlight. I think I need to time my next visit to coincide with a full moon
