When I was there it was just the quadriga up at the gate. I still felt like I as being looked down upon.

I still find it strange to be able to walk through. And even odder this time as it was surrounded by police. Even as just a visitor the city’s history haunts me at times.

Being in black and white it reminds me of all those war films and the crowds in the square below. You got great definition in these – I presume you took them from the ground looking up, or did you hire a helicopter?!

I think my helicopter might have been shot down!
I took them from below – despite massive police presence I was able to walk beneath the gate
