The weekend was too busy, so I know I am late, but I like to know where you were standing when you took this shot of the skyline of Berlin? Here is my rural skyline

I was on the roof of the Reichstag, just where the glass dome starts

When we lived there, I was in my twenties, and now I regret that I didn’t have a camera back then – I didn;t grow up with it (painting was already so unlikely:):)

Like you, I wish I was into photography when younger. I saw the Reichstag in its dilapidated state before the dome was added, but no photos of it 😦

An interesting variety of roofs/buildings in that skyline, Debbie. Thanks very much for the mention. Here’s my skyline from Arizona: https://sustainabilitea.wordpress.com/2023/01/15/skyline-2/.

Yes, the tv tower stands out whenever you get a little bit of height in Berlin.

Back in the day, when the Wall had recently come down and there were no modern buildings in the east of the city, it was very visible without needing too get to any height!

Of course it was built with that intention – to show off to the west.

The IHZ looks totally incongruous. You captured it well.
I stuck with Frankfurt (West): https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2023/01/15/highlights-of-the-frankfurt-skyline/

Yes, it’s rather hard to avoid. But disposition allowed a few others to stand out too. I especially liked the shadow of the Dom’s dome

Yes, the shadow is cool. You need to have the eye for it AND be there at the right time. If you arrive at 12noon you might not even know that later (or earlier) there is this cool shadow.

A great viewpoint here. I wonder where exactly in the city you were?

I was up the Reichstag. This was taken from the open roof section before the dome.
