Winter reflections in The Breach

The Breach on a cold day at Kew Gardens, London, February 2022

This mirrored structure appeared as part of Kew’s summer exhibition, Food Forever. It was designed by Argentinian architect, Leandro Erlich, and is titled The Breach. This immersive and enticing structure pulls you through a seeming labyrinth of fields, populated by a single cultivated crop species that is planted inside.  It was looking rather empty in winter, so I must get back to see it again when the crop comes back to life.

  1. I really do need to get down to Kew…. the Covid issues didn’t help matters and I guess we are still playing catch up. But yes, a visit is called for, long overdue a Kew always seems to reinvent itself 🙂
