Old signage and modern cars, Karl-Marx-Allee, Berlin, March 2022

Many of the structures from Cold War days on Karl-Marx-Allee, including signage, are now protected. This overhead sign advertises Tatra, a Czechoslovakian vehicle producer with a very long and interesting history. In fact, it is the third oldest company in the world producing vehicles with an unbroken history. I loved the traditional Plattenbau building, its signage, and the contrast with the modern cars parked in front.
