Almost full moon at St Albans Abbey, Hertfordshire, November 2023
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Thank you Brian. With our very short days my walk routes have changed slightly so I now often walk past this end of the Abbey. And on this day I couldn’t resist a photo. Good old iPhone!

Lovely. Does a beaver moon have the silhouette of two big teeth instead of the Man in the Moon? 🙂 Just wondering.

You never know!
Two official possible reasons are a) a season for beavers building dams and b) the season for setting traps to catch beavers. I prefer to think of it as either a) or your silhouette idea. 🦫

Ah yes, I heard that Glasgow airport is closed.
I was flying last night and the ether was causing lots of problems with Munich totally closed and others struggling.
Enjoy the snow while you can!

Lovely! Who invented all these names for moons?

Apparently many come from Native American culture. December’s moon is the Cold Moon and I can tell why that name was chosen!!!
