Although I prefer the original meaning of lido (the Italian one, aka shorline) – the sign is in a great colour! - I couldn’t quite decide what you meant when I read the prompt last week 😉

We had a phase of building modernist buildings and open air pools at our seaside resorts – this is a great example of that – but we now use the word for any outdoor swimming pool. Much disagreement about how to pronounce it though 😉
