Control panel (aka the Piano) at Thomson Graving Dock, Belfast, February 2025
This panel controlled the flow of water in and out of the dry docks at the shipyard where the Titanic was built. Its nickname was the Piano.
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

You’ve connected to a rather old post. Maybe the image has got lost. I’ll check once back at my desk.

As intriguing as your six words, Debbie. I can see the photo on the Reader and on your home page but not in the actual post. Weird. The WP gremlins at work.

I don’t have the photo either, just the caption.

I’m glad it’s working for some at least. It won’t show for me but internet access is very slow here and seeing images is a challenge.

Just thought to comment might be helpful…. but as we know WP isn’t a perfect platform. Enjoy your travels. 🙂

No. But you can go down into the old dry dock and admire the gates. And imagine working down there with something like the Titanic looming over you.

That would be a weird feeling. Drawing working on the keel day would send shivers.
