Be sure to wash those thoroughly before using. 😉. I’d be thinking applesauce. Here people put out lemons and grapefruit in season to give away.

I think they definitely need cooking. I’d actually heard a couple of women talking about all the apples falling in the courtyard just a couple of days earlier and then someone gathered them up and put them out for easy collection.
