Antwerp Station, Belgium, June 2026
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

What a perfect shot the giant figure rushing alongside the tiny real passengers is both funny and strangely poetic. Worth nearly missing the train for! Happy Six Word Saturday 🚂

Thank you.
And thanks to my mobile phone too as not only was I rushing but my camera battery had just gone flat.

That is the most relatable photography story, the battery that chooses the worst possible moment to give up. And yet somehow the rush and the limitation produced something worth sharing. The best moments rarely wait for us to be fully prepared. We just have to show up with whatever we have and trust that it is enough.

I nearly missed it because I had to take this photo! I had seen the sign and had to run down the platform to get the photo before jumping on the train. 🙂

Whew, just in time. Photo temptation can be intense. I just rewatched Sliding Doors with Gwenyth Paltrow, speaking of catching trains.

I like the juxtaposition of the large figure (You? I think not. 😆) with the actual people.

I had just taken a photo of a similar sign in plain concrete and then I spotted the illuminated one ….
