Shoe in hand, the wife is awaiting his late arrival!
Old Town Hall, Wroclaw, Poland, May 2026
Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

And here is 6 in a title but definitely more in the post. A food for thought post.

What a great find, Debbie. I happened to be at the biggest wine festival in the world (sort of like Oktoberfest but with wine not beer) and there is the other side of the coin. I used lots more than six words to explain it, I beg your indulgence for this time: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2026/09/19/coming-home-from-getting-drunk-together/

That’s really funny to have been carved 😄 but I can also see the societal challenges which keep the poor wife stuck with an alcoholic husband even if she would want to leave!

Thanks for telling the story, both in the photo and in words. Many of those old buildings have amazing details and stories.
My more modern buildings and one old are here:
