-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 88
Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photos taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own images with an up or down perspective.

I made a flying visit to Bratislava this weekend, en route to Salzburg. Unfortunately, I came down with a heavy cold which ground me down to a very slow meander around the city as opposed to my usual energetic walk. After a long rest at a pleasant bar just below St Martin’s Cathedral, I trudged up the steps to take a better look at the Cathedral and its courtyard. To my delight, when I looked up at the old outhouse to the left I found these cheerful, arty murals at the windows. There are more on the other side facing the main road.
What a great way to brighten up an old wall and boarded windows!

What neat windows! That’s quite an homage to Van Gogh.

Debs, I just love these! 🙂 And it’s happened again! I just posted a windows which could have been a ‘look up, look down’ with a little modification. 😦 I’ll get there one of these days! Maybe an amalgam of Krakow shots, who knows… Absolutely love the jollying up of this sad old place, and you for spotting it 🙂

A lot more cheerful than boarding up! And it must have been someone who was a lover of van Gogh:)

You’re right there.
Sadly I only had 1 day there and just didn’t have the energy to see everything I would have liked.
But a reason to return is never a bad thing!
