A Beach in Manchester?

Beach Bar, Castlefield, Manchester

Someone has a sense of humour, I think.

This “beach bar” is set on one of Castlefield’s canals.  This is a great area to relax in, especially in summer, but “beach” is stretching it a bit.

Instead of deckchairs, colourful benches.

Castlefield is an inner city conservation area based around the Bridgewater and Rochdale canals, with their restored warehouses.  With its many waterside pubs and bars it is a good place to spend a summer’s day or evening.

  1. That’s very cute. It looks like it should be on the beach, not just the name but the design and everything! Good on them for creating a beachy illusion…
