Making Trails through the Arizona Desert

North West Arizona

Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch

Set in 320 acres of stunning Northern Arizona desert, stands the family-run dude ranch, Stagecoach Trails.

Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch

I have spent two great holidays here already, and will, undoubtedly, return.  There are many things that make this place special, but the main factor is the fantastic welcome offered by Carrie and Dan Rynders and their family, friends and staff.  On top of that are the beautiful horses, charming dogs, spacious and comfortable accommodation, delicious food, fun entertainment, stunning scenery and the peace and quiet.  You can choose to be as active or as chilled as you like, and your hosts will ensure you get what you need.

The ranch is also fully accessible no matter what your abilities or disabilities, and a wheelchair ramp allows everyone to take part in the horse riding.  The Rynders have a disabled daughter who is a characterful presence around the ranch.  She is probably the main reason the ranch is here for us all to enjoy.

The riding is excellent, with friendly horses and knowledgeable and fun wranglers.  As soon as you leave the corral, you are in open desert countryside, with three mountain ranges in view and tens of hundreds of acres at your horse’s feet.  Your  wrangler will confidently pick out pathways between the cacti and along dry riverbeds and is always on hand to give advice and help if you need it.

If you want a relaxed, friendly holiday with at least some horse riding, then I couldn’t recommend this more highly.  If you are an experienced rider, be aware that the longer, more challenging rides only take place September to April, because of the high summer temperatures.
