Following on from my Egyptian Revival post a couple of weeks ago, I thought I’d expand on the art deco theme. These windows belong to Shropshire House, an office building on Capper Street, just off Tottenham Court Road in London.

If you like these windows, you may be interested in this list of other Art Deco buildings in London.

Not much, but the first floor walkways have gone. They’ve smartened up the area with new buildings with lots of glass and places to eat, like Pret. If you look at the 3rd photo in this post https://travelwithintent.com/2013/07/18/bt-tower-reflected/ that’s the tower on the left.

You got me totally stumped. I went to college in that area, and I’ve never seen that building, I swear…!

I think they only did it up in the last couple of years. It’s Telefonica offices now. On the right as you go into Capper St from Tottenham Court Road.
All of your old haunts seem to be my current haunts!

Do you happen to know if they’ve done anything to/with Euston Tower…?
