Today, 14th June, is World Gin Day!
And what better place to get in the act than the Atlas Bar in Manchester?

This city centre haunt is located amongst the Deansgate railway arches. This friendly and atmospheric bar specialises in gin, with one of the most extensive gin menus I’ve seen. The majority of gins come from the UK – try out a traditional sloe gin , or a heathery gin from the Orkneys or coriander and cinnamon flavours from Wales. You can go further afield too- try the orange-coloured, saffron gin from Dijon in France, citrus and juniper from Brooklyn or the complex Monkey 47 from Germany.
In addition, it has great garden at the back with comfy seating and typically industrial Manchester views.
If more inspiration is required, check out the Atlas Gin Bible.

How did I not know there was a Gin day? Looks like a fabulous place to raise a drink to Gin!

You’d better have one before the day is out. It is World Gin Day!

I’ve never heard of World Gin Day but oddly enough, I was just finishing my post on the Gin Museum in Hasselt. Perfect timing. Salut! Cheers!

I hadn’t heard of it either until I saw some activity on Twitter. Still, I never let that stop my enjoyment. Hmm, a gin museum, I’m coming over to see your post!

It doesn’t stop my enjoyment either. Even though it’s raining and chilly here tonight calls for a G&T!
