Don Quixote and Sancho Panza stroll cheerfully through the Place d’Espagne in Brussels. In the late afternoon sun their so-easily identifiable silhouette reminded me of Picasso’s famous black and white drawing of the two companions.
This statue is by Spanish sculptor Lorenzo Coullaut and is a replica of the original statue which stands in the Plaza de España, Madrid.
Like the silhouette in b&w. The statue is immediately recognizable.

I haven’t had the best weather on my trips to Brussels this year, bit this day was the exception. I made the most of it with a good wander around and a trip up the Atomium. The late afternoon light was great.
