-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 54
Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photo(s) taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own photos with an up or down perspective.

This week, I’m taking you up here
to enjoy the views back down:
This is the Atomium in Brussels. Part building, part sculpture, this 102 metre tall “tower” was constructed as the main pavilion and icon of the World Fair of Brussels (1958), commonly called Expo 58. Designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn, it represents an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times.
It’s well worth a visit on a clear day for the great views. Personally, I need to go back at night to see the spheres illuminated with 2970 LEDs.
