This is the 3rd and final part in my short series on Venice’s wonderful windows.
Previous posts in the series: Part 1, In the Round
Part 2, Overarching Delight
I hope you all get to visit the place yourself, as my photos cannot possible capture the beauty and atmosphere, and certainly not the sounds and flavours.

I’ve always dreamed of visiting Venice. Thank you.

I can spend hours and hours just pottering around Venice with my camera and come home with hundreds of photos of the beauty and history! More lovely pics, thanks!

Thank you! I like the last one best too. I nearly moved them around to put a more striking one at the start, but maybe it was better to pull you in slowly.

love the title – be there or be… ha!!
and deb- I ove all the shots in this post – but I found that my preference increased as I scrolled down.
sounds cheesy – but I “Liked” the first one – the contrast of the two windows had me wondering about what lies beyond in each window.
Then I liked the 2nd one – the door shot and the iron grid reminded me of the great wine that likely is also found in this region.
However, I really liked the 3rd – with the gutter shining through and the straight on look at the covered iron frame –
but then I LOVED the last one – partly cos I like bricks these days and the bricks here are nice. your angle for it shows the crumble – yet togetherness of it all – and that patchwork has an art feel – and then there is a geo feel with the 3 in a row to the back and the more rusted single one front and right.
great window post 🙂
