Thought you would, Sue. It was on the one clean and tidy street in Old Havana – they had kept enough “oldness” in the newly painted walls for it to still feel and look real.

What kind of shop is that?

I don’t know if it was in use. It’s on the one street, Calle Mercaderes (Merchant’s Street), that has been restored and is aimed at tourists. It might have been a hotel or gallery, or may be waiting for a new purpose. It was quite a large building so maybe a fairly general store in its heyday with a tabac as part of its offerings.
