Something Not Quite Right at the Parthenon

a1-06575Does something look not quite right here?

Ok, I’ll admit it, it’s a model, not the real thing.

Whilst the real Parthenon perches high above Athens on the edge of a rocky outcrop, this smaller scale version stands on a pedestal of sand in Brighton!

It is a sand sculpture, created by Mireille Vrinten and Linde Wijers as part of last year’s Sand Sculpture Festival.

    • It’s an old photo 😉 They are there for a couple of months but I assume the site has been cleared now ready for a new theme this summer It’s out near the marina so I don’t go that way every time I visit Brighton.
