That is not the GLC building, the large old building near the London Eye is the GLC building…. this new building is City hall. The GLC does not even exist any more it was disbanded by Mrs Thatcher and eventually the Tony Blair started a Mayoral system in London and this building houses that administration. Sorry for the lesson, the Londoner in me coming out

I absolutely love that building. The fact that you can see it from the Tower of London adds such an amazing ‘clash of centuries’ feeling.
