Between the airport and the centre of town lies Corstorphine. I had never really given the place a second thought, but with time on my hands one morning I decided to walk away from town for a change and discovered this historic walking trail.
I set off from St Ninian’s Church on the main road.
The walk isn’t very extensive, but it makes for a pleasant stroll on a sunny day and the Old Parish Church is particularly picturesque.
It has a fair sized graveyard, though many of the stones have collapsed, and there are Commonwealth war graves here too.
Linked to Jo’s Monday Walks.

I enjoy wandering through old cemeteries.
The Horsebus garage sounds interesting (though not as interesting as the Horsebus, perhaps!)

Not what you’d expect so close to an airport.

This must be very old, because it’s the Roman style architecture – the older the better (for me):)

What a lovely spot, Debs! If I hadn’t read the tags I’d probably have had to Google Corstorphine to see where it is 🙂 Many thanks, hon.
