Rehearsals for the big celebration on 9 August are under way and the whole city seems ready to commemorate the 50th anniversary of independence. There is even an extra day public holiday on the Friday prior to National Day.

Yes, I’m a bit quiet at the moment. There’ll be plenty of photos to come when I get back, though the heat and humidity are slowing me down!
