This mural by Manchester based artist Amy Coney, depicts 6 local women who made a significant mark on history. It is part of the Outhouse MCR project and can be found in the centre of Manchester’s Stevenson Square.
They are, from left to right: theatre impresario Annie Horniman; author Elizabeth Gaskell; Enriquetta Rylands, founder of John Rylands Library; Marie Stopes, pioneer in the field of birth control; suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst; and Sunny Lowry, the first British woman to swim the English Channel.
I know that Coney intended to put their names beneath each portrait, but I’m not sure of that ever happened.

love the picture and yes we all have potential to do something to be somebody at every age and every stage when opportunity presents itself we should do our best to act upon it thanks for sharing
