I do love sun and warmth on my travels – more for ease than anything else. Travelling is more fun in my eyes if I don’t have to carry umbrellas and waterproof clothing, and don’t have to dry out my shoes overnight!
Needless to say, rain often joins me though, but it doesn’t detract from the beauty of most places. Istanbul is so stunning in so many ways that it looks great whatever the weather does.
Though a clear, dry sunrise is even more of a treat.
So so gorgeous.

Beautiful. We had sunshine this morning and now it appears the rain is on its way, so we’ll get to experience both in one day. 🙂

I always think the rain can make or break a place – I spent a couple of days in Brussels and it tipped it down the whole time. Very hard to love a place when all you’re doing is dodging puddles. On the flip side, as you say, some places are so pretty when it rains!
