Both Arms stretch out in Mandela Gardens in Leeds.
They are a 16ft tall bronze sculpture created in 2000 by the Leeds-born sculptor Kenneth Armitage (1916-2002).

I must say they look a little creepy to me too but I’m sure they seem more welcoming in real life.

Considering I live so near I haven’t been to Leeds in ages, can’t remember ever seeing these, they remind me of Beetlejuice for some reason 😀 Quite a fitting title for a New Year!
