In central Copenhagen, next to Christiansborg Palace, there stands a museum dedicated to a single artist, to the sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844), a Dane who spent most of his life in Rome.
The outside is adorned with a mural by Jørgen Sonne depicting Thorvaldsen’s homecoming from Rome in 1838.
