A colourful note: screamin’ green appeared in the Crayola sets in 1990, but it was a new name rather than a new shade – it had been a crayon since 1972, but known then as Ultra Green Fluorescent.

Though it’s longer to utter, I prefer the former name “ultra green fluorescent”…..

The older name is certainly more obvious. But it is certainly a bright enough colour to be thought of as screaming!
