This well textured roof looked wonderful under a Spring sky and was a great example of papuliferous; a new word for me, meaning pimply!

Papuliferous
I agree with Sue, though before her mentioning it I did not see any excretions 😀

A roof covered in excretions….papuliferous does sound better!

My son is a bit of a wordsmith. Will have to share this with him. Great photo!

A new word for me too, very nice little “tower”.

Help! I didn’t know the word “papuliferous”, Google didn’t help and my English – German translator said “papilliferous” in German! I succeeded eventually with pimply meaning full of pimples! But I like your picture!

It popped up on the internet for me, due to a typo. Then I had to go and investigate. It is definitely not a common word!!

I never heard of it – in English or in German!

I didn’t know that word, either, Debbie. Quite a splendiferous word for its prosaic meaning.
