Many thanks for showing this beautiful tower and flag on the Swedish National Day for SEASONS! My guess is that it’s different than the day of the Kings birthday? (It’s so long ago, I’m trying to remember if Holland has a National Day – because there’s so much focus of festivities on the Kings birthday).
How are you doing, by the way? Do you know what comes after Spain? It must be pretty warm there, eh? Have a great week!
The National Day is quite a new official holiday but represents Sweden’s independence in 1523. I’m not sure what other national holidays they celebrate. I’m home now. Conferences in London over teh next couple of weeks then a calmer time at work. No travels planned for a while now, though I do hope to get a week away with my daughter, somewhere. She graduates this summer – doesn’t time fly!
