European robin for sure. Our North American robin looks quite different. Can’t tell from the pic for sure, but our robin is quite big. They’re the harbingers of spring. I’ve loved them from childhood.

Yes, I know they are different but not the details. Ours are very much associated with christmas and appear on Christmas cards. But they are around all year and sing all year. And very territorial.

It was my first time in Holland park yesterday – it was a delightful place to wander as the sun went down and Kyoto Garden was a delight
