Shakespeare on Clink Street, London, January 2017
Close to the Globe Theatre on the south bank of the Thames, you can now find a bright mural of Shakespeare. This colorful piece is the work of Australian artist James Cochran, known as Jimmy C.

Hex colour ref: #deaa88
A colourful note: the tumbleweed crayon joined Crayola’s growing number of shades in 1992, named after the dry part of a plant that gets blown away from the rest when dry and tumbles down the street.

It absolutely glows in this spot and brightens a dull corner. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.

Yes, it’s an appropriate place for it. I haven’t seen it in daylight yet, but hopefully will soon.

No worries Jennifer. It’s hard running a weekly challenge, let alone a daily one!

Wonderful mural. I didn’t know his work, but going over his bio and I see he has murals in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Not an artist I knew before either. One to keep a look out for, I think.
