All encompassing view to St Albans Abbey, Hertfordshire, April 2017
My regular walk into town takes me across Verulamium Park, where I enjoy, whatever the weather, a fantastic view to St Albans Abbey. The tree that fell recently was a sad departure but, on a positive note, it leaves an open view of the cathedral.

Great use of the fish eye, Debbie. I like it.

I like the way you presented your second photo.

The header version was a serious crop of the 2nd photo. The second was using the canon fisheye – a new lens for me (rented) but great fun

Good can come after loss. 😊

Absolutely. But it can be hard to find

I’ve learned a lot from hindsight, seeing the good that at the time was hard to come by. God is teaching me to find it in the middle of the storm. But we’re talking about a favorite tree, not serious loss. 🌈

Indeed. But a serious loss can make us rethink our lives – what is serious, what is important, how to learn and move on eventually
