Belém, on the western side of Lisbon, contains the largest concentration of museums in Portugal and is viewed by many as having the biggest cultural heritage of the capital. It is a fantastic place to visit for both its beauty and its history, plus its cakes (but more about that soon).

Isn’t it just? 🙂 🙂 Endowed, that is. Fantastic use of that effect again, and I’m severely jealous. I never did get to climb that tower or visit the monastery. I must remedy that! 🙂
