Imperial by Peter Lenk, Constant, Germany, April 2017
This striking statue stands on a rotating pedestal at the entrance to Konstanz harbour. It stands 9 metres tall, weighs 18 tonnes and flaunts its attributes.
This assertive figure represents Imperia, a seducer of cardinals and princes at the Council of Constance in La Belle Impéria, a short story by Honoré de Balzac. The two gaunt and exhausted-looking men in her hands are Pope Martin V and Emperor Sigismund.

I was a little shocked. But I have to say that the depiction of the weakened men caught my attention more than her “attributes”. Playtex could have used her for their adverts!

Not entirely!
I think the target of the Balzac story was the clergy and leadership rather then the woman. But the sculptor’s interpretation may be a little different
