Elemental, my dear Watson

Now I know that isn’t right, Sherlock didn’t say elemental, but it is the theme of this week’s Daily Post Challenge!

What is more important, though, is that he didn’t say “Elementary, my Dear Watson” either.  The phrase was created and used by people writing and talking about Holmes; words that readily summed up the relationship between him and Watson.  This idiom now summons the character to mind for anyone who hears that phrase.
