Just wait until you see my hubby’s bookstore – you’ll never get out. In fact I struggle to get out of the house most days as many of the books end up here too!!

All great photos but Acqua Alta has to be the most interesting bookstore.

It’s pretty amazing – simply random piles of books, no use of Dewey, no use of alphabet! But there are a few canoes holding books in place outside, and the books also form a staircase for a view down onto the canal. A little too unruly for the Venetian I think!

How do you find anything in there? And doesn’t the water wreak havoc with the paper?
