There’s a dead tree like this in the park where the various types of birds like to hang out, including cormorants. I love checking to see who might be there.

I am surprised to see cormorants this time of year. I thought they flew to warmer climates in winter.

Some do. But we have a large population of them that stay in UK for winter

They are striking to look at aren’t they. And I always think of pictures I’ve seen of Chinese fishermen with their assistant cormorants
