Wicken Fen nature reserve, Cambridgeshire, January 2017
Wicken Fen in Cambridgeshire is recognised as an important wetland habitat, home to over 9000 recorded species including many rare species of plants, birds and dragonflies. Changes to climate and the surrounding environment mean that there is significantly less natural flooding of the Wicken Fen area, and the smart wind-powered pump now ensures the rewetting of the area and the continued growth of wildlife and plants.

Love the first shot. Reminds me of scenes I have seen in South Africa when I was a child.

It wasn’t too bad actually. It’s a place I try to get to regularly to see the wild horses – and it never disappoints
