Running in circles

On the walls of Shoreditch,  January 2017

American street artist Kai Guetta, going under the name of  Kai, and occasionally Kai Aspire, pops up on streets around the world.  Born in Los Angeles, he was raised by his French-Tunisian father and Mexican-American mother, and went on to study art at l’École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, before letting us enjoy his thought-provoking pieces, on our streets.  Much of his work is in LA, but I’m happy to say he has given us a fair number of pieces in London, and further afield.

He works in a number of materials but it is his cement painting installations that I particularly enjoy, with this tormented business man being one of my favourites.

    • I expect he takes commissions if offered, but the kind of thing I’ve seen around London is the surprise type. He has had a number of exhibitions, especially in US, so I’m assuming there’s a fair income created too!
