This recent shot of a 1920s Dutch barge seemed an ideal subject for a spot of vintage editing. Word on the Water is one of my favourite London bookshops, floating in a convenient location close to Kings Cross Station and furnished with a good range of new and secondhand books. I enjoyed my rummaging and came home with a book that I’ve not read before, by one of my favourite Russian authors, Mikhail Bulgakov.
