  1. Gilbert and George: as a child of the East end of London I soon got to know about this strange pair of artists who become inseparable after meeting at college in London and having their headquarters in the East End of London. I got to know their works, mostly by internet and one day they had an exhibition in Zürich in the Kunsthalle. I still have the book of the exhibition. Of course I visited the exhibition in Zürich, just an hour by train from Solothurn where I live. I was somehow fascinated by their spectacular large works, mostly pained on glass. Their later works did not interest me so much, but two guys that dressed alike and painted together, a fascinating team. And now I see that they are still around with an exhibition in Arles. Thanks for writing about it. Keeps me in touch.
