Beautiful photo! I’ve never been there, but have heard the expression “heather on the hill.” Perhaps this is one example 🙂

I don’t know it as a phrase, but I do know Gene Kelly’s song from the Brigadoon: “The mist of May is in the gloamin’, and all the clouds are holdin’ still, So take my hand and let’s go roamin’through the heather on the hill.” Appropriate apart form the month 🙂
