Busy bees in Delphi, February 2019
These busy bees were hard to capture as they barely paused for a second, and constantly presented their rear ends to me and my unsuitable lens!

Just lovely – and you did well with the bees! Now I have to go see those flowers again…the light is irresistible!

Glad you like it Leya. I had a fantastic wander around the ruins of Delphi, but this tree was a highlight!

Buzzing about and presenting bottoms is what bees seem to do best, as their heads are generally inserted in flowers. 🙂 I found a rather large group right before winter, sitting somnolent on a number of flowers. They didn’t even move when I got my phone right up near them.

You did well there. I think the secret is often to get them really early in the morning when they are warming up and too tired to move. Trouble is, I’m like that too in the morning!

🙂 Me being a morning person helps. In this case, I think they’re just getting ready for winter and not moving.

It was gorgeous. I had gone beneath the tree to use it for framing the view and the noise of the bees made me aware of their location!

And bees’ butts would be totally unsuitable! 😉 Beautiful blossoms, Debbie.

Not quite as clear as I’d like. And much cropping was required!
