I wonder how you got perfect shots (empty – without people in them, with perfect backgrounds, even posing for you) – I would imagine Venice, specially during the carnival, is full of people??
Wow! What a great pciture! A queen considering herself as she surveys her domain. There are several stories that could be written about that picture. What do you think it says?
It said a few things to me.
Firstly, take a photo of me quickly, I can’t hold the pose forever!
Secondly, shame about the cranes that spoil the skyline.
Thirdly – what must it have been like in Venice in its heyday?

It makes me go to somewhat of a dark place when we look at reflections of a mask…the imagery of someone who can never really know herself.
